Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The annual general meeting is LVSM’s highest decision-making body and is the forum in which members exercise their right to decide on the Association’s affairs.

Report

The Committee reports on the activities of the organisation for the previous year, presented in the Annual Reports.

This includes the Chairperson’s report, Treasurer’s report with financial statements, and of LVSM’s membership and events.


Discuss

Talk with and ask questions of the Committee about the Annual Reports and of possible future activities.

Reflecting on our values; We encourage Members to have their say on what works well and what could be better.


Vote

Members’ chance to collectively vote on resolutions that affect the organisation.

Common resolutions:

  • Membership Fees and due date
  • Number of ordinary committee member positions available

The Annual General Meeting may only conduct business of which notice has been given.


Elect

The Committee are the Members’ representatives, acting on behalf of the members to manage the Association. Following the Rules of the Association and the Associations Incorporation Reform Act 2012

Positions:

  • Chairperson
  • Vice Chairperson
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Ordinary Members (if any)

All the Committee Members are volunteers, they receive no monetary gain except reimbursements for reasonable costs incurred on the organisations behalf.
